My Teisco Del Ray!

Thursday will be my birthday and Mom and Dad sent me $100.Wow,what a great excuse to buy another guitar.With a budget of only $100 my choices were sort of limitedI was thinking of getting one of those Squire Butterscotch Blonde Affinity telecasters(I still want one of those I don't know why).While looking for a used one on Ebay I saw this little cutie.This guitar is just like the one I got for my birthday 41 years ago. I have been looking for one of these but all the ones I have seen are pretty beat up or they have a body made of plywood with a painted back.This one is solid mahogany.Anyway I hope it arrives in time for my birthday . I can't wait to play Louie Louie,Hang on Sloopy,Gloria,Wild Thing or run it through my Fuzzbrite pedal and play Satisfaction and Blues Theme.Can't wait!

Very funky. I like the look of those. The Squier Affinity Teles are good if you can find one in a store and play it and make sure it plays good. I have one with luckily great action. I put Fender NoCaster pickups in it and it sounds pretty darn good.

I had a friend with a Teisco. He was brilliant, and made that guitar sing.

I hadn't seen him for a few years, and the first time I heard Van Halen on the radio, I thought it was him (except EVH didn't have the jazz licks this guy had).

Anyway, he (IMO) outplayed EVH on one of those. This was at age 16, after playing a year, a good three years before anyone heard of EVH.

I cannot make this up.

Thanks for the posts guys.Post man brought my Teisco.It seems smaller than I remember but I still dig it.
