Picking mine up tomorrow. Played it for a while yesterday - plays awesome! I don't think i'll have a problem going between the different scaled-guitars. Sounds great too - SO much bass in that neck pickup, and awesome twang at the bridge without sounding remotely like a Tele.

Question: Since AFG is the COY for 2006. Does anyone know if the 1996 will be available in other colors in 2007? Or is the AFG the staple for the 1996?

I think 1996's will only be available in AFG for as long as 1996's are available. If you want AFG on any other model, you have to order it this year. That's the impression I got, anyway.

Where is that UPS man anyway???

I am surprised a few Jetglo ones haven't shown up based on what John Hall has said in the past.

As an option, you could always cut an f hole in a 325C64.

It just arrived - and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Goregeous. The finish is everything I'd hoped for an more. It's just so classy with the white guards. Serial number 06 20319. I don't have a camera here at work, but I'll take a pic as soon as I can. Couldn't be happier than I am right now.

Ethan, congrats!!

Could it be that the 1996 will only be offered in AFG because the Rose-Morris guitars were only produced in those colors?

Just wondering.

The actual "NAMM display" guitar is in the center of this photo with a newer one on the right:
