Sergio: The bass has an all-new Rickenbacker wiring harness and jacks, no .0047 cap. I got the pickup from David Axt a while back, it sounds really good...I just thought I'd get one made up that is accurate for it's vintage.

I'm about ready to do the Scratch-X and Zymol job to my other '72, so when I do I'll take a pic of the p/up on that bass, it is all original.

Sergio,

I may just do that if it doesn't go too high, but I also don't want to step on any toes here.
If I do get it I'll sell my FG V63.

Philip, that's what I thought too! Who is that? Is that a Forumite?

John: thanks for the info.
Kevin: I understand. No matter what that 4001 ends up going for, it will not include the cost of putting the bass back in playing condition.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Any woodworking / finishing that's required is little concern to me. My brother can handle that.

BTW, did you guys see the screw holes for the finger rest. Whoever gets it will have to put one of those back on.

Did anyone here get this?

I was out-bid with about 30 seconds left.

Well, so far I've received two second chance offers on this bass. None from the original seller!
Looks like I'll be reporting them as soon as I figure out how.

There is a link at the bottom of the listing page for reporting the listing. It takes you to a step-by-step link for reporting to Ebay any issues with the particular listing.

Or you can just forward the fake second chance email to [email protected]

What Jerry said. That is the best way to get the message to Ebay. You can also use [email protected] if you get any fake PayPal messages.

Remember to have full headers displayed when forwarding the message, that way eBay/PayPal can see what IP address the fake offer was sent from. One additional thing I do is to copy the fake shortcut into the forward as well, that way eBay/PayPal can see what IP address is hosting the fake login site.
