I'm better than new, thanks.
And yes, if putting the entire amount down on a guitar means I got it, I guess I got it! (the 660). Can't wait!

Wow! Missed the fireworks, ****!

Brian, I really hope you change you mind and return when you feel so inclined. I did not see your posts as inflammatory at all. Who is going to fight for the 4004 family while you are gone?

As much as Mr. Hall can flame with the best of them, I find his no BS personality, candor and honesty very refreshing. I agree he can strike hard and fast, and I have felt his sting, but I can't help but think it is that strong personality that has made, and kept RIC what it is.

I'm ticked that I love and want all four of the 75th models. Jeez, why did they have to make so many?

Well Done RIC.
I'm just happy to be here.

I hope you come back Brian, there really is no need for you to go, unless you are going to sell off your Ricks. If that's the case, I get dibs on the LK! Image

Shoot Jeff, if Brian goes off Ricks, RIC's back order problems will be over, and the bottom will fall out of the used 4004 market.

Step away from the edge Brian, don't do it!

I wrote: "we see features in the 4003 like walnut headwings, and the capacitor bypass
that came from input here"

Well I found out from current and former Ric employees that those were requests before the forum existed ...

But I still think this forum is a good source of information for Rickenbacker and for us ...

I agree 100% Jeff.

My interest, knowledge, and purchasing of RIC instruments have gone up dramatically since landing here. I'm much more inclined to buy and get involved when I have enough information to do so.

My sense was that this site allowed for more diverse opinions than others, as long as we remained civilized, due to it's independence. I easily felt more freedom to express my thoughts here, even the dumb ones, than on any other site. I wonder if there is change in the air.

Personally, I dismiss anyone who posts here in a rude and disrespectful manner. At the same time I abhor the PC police. To me freedom is like pregnancy, you is or you ain't.

The recent 75th Anniversary skirmish was somewhat troubling as one man's opinion seemed to place a pall over the site. I understand my place in the food chain, but here, this forum, is the place for the exchange of ideas and opinions. I believe that is why all come here. You will hear them here, the good and the bad. An open exchange of information is good for all. I hope that is not changing.
