Oh boy, I was close to pull the trigger on that one! (I have just bought a '73 jazz bass, so my budget is at level zero) Congrats Jim, you won't regret it!!

Thanks, guys, and to all who have posted here for all of the valuable info. It was through this forum that I got straight answers on the year, set neck details, opinions on action & sound, etc... This is a great forum, I'm hooked!
As an owner now of my fourth RIC, I'll be reading and posting quite regularly and hope to learn more about these great guitars and the people who make and play them for fun and profit!
You can never own too many guitars!

Jim, I used to have a bass from that year, that model, and that color. It's a nice bass, you will enjoy it. Congrats.
