Did anyone else see the new P.U.’s yet?

Direct quote from John Hall on the official RIC forum:
"But I'll talk about the pole pieces. Yes, the modern Hi Gains, those with the molded bobbin can have the pole pieces removed, replaced, or readjusted, even though that wasn't part of the design. The older ones, however, where the pole pieces are part of the bobbin will be destroyed if the pole pieces are turned or removed.
Soon all of the Hi Gain and bass treble pickup coils will have adjustable pole pieces; we're in the transition process to this right now and you'll see guitars with both styles until stocks of the old parts are completely used up."

With the new neck profile and adjustable polepieces this is going to be an unbeatable bass!
These are 2 of my 3 beefs with the 4003 that have been addressed here. The 3rd is the bridge and I think Ric have something in mind for sorting that problem as well. I just dont fancy the Hipshot. As soon as the 4003 comes with all 3 mods my order will be in like a flash.
