During Let It Be, not only did the Beatles jam on Harrison's "All Things Must Pass", but Paul also tried to get them to do "Teddy Boy" which ended up on the McCartney LP. Clearly bored with the seemingly unending runthroughs, Lennon, during an instrumental break in "Teddy Boy" starts square dance calling. "Swing your partner, do-si-do..."
Let It Be was released in May, 1970. Paul wanted to release (out of spite) his album the same time. The other Beatles begged him to hold off, afraid of killing sales for a perceived weak Beatles album that nobody but the bean counters at EMI wanted to put out. McCartney, resigned to the fact that the Beatles were no more, lost his cool and screamed at Ringo, who was sent to deliver the band's wishes.
Paul went ahead and put out McCartney within a few days of Let It Be's release. Neither album suffered in sales.

I'd have to agree with those who think "If You've Got Trouble" is a dog....
respectfully speaking.
I'd heard of the song from books and finally listened to it on a bootleg even before it came out on the Anthology series. Yikes!!! Ringo is hilarious when he introduces the solo. That mock frustrated "Rock on, Anybody"..
"Only a Northern Song" and "Blue Jay Way" are a real drag, too! I think "Love To You" and "Within You, Without You" are not up to standard either.
Sorry George, still think you're great!!!
