Every Little Thing is John on the 325/12, on the top parts and the little arpeggiated bit. Depending on who you want to believe, it's one of the 325's, either Hamburg or Miami, doing the bass string bits. I wonder if John heard George's Rickenbacker playing solo's on a few tracks, liked the way it sounded, and wanted to play some leads on his own Ric.

I've seen that, Wolfgang--there is also a picture of John playing the Hamburg 325 from about the same session, I think. I really don't have any insight in to who played what, though, beyond a fair certainty the 12 string is John. I wonder where George was that day--playing the acoustic rhythm, maybe, or just taking the day off?
Yes, we had this discussion. I think , he's not playing the 325 Hamburg, but checking his, now, spare guitar after a tour.
And the other picture is John playing his 325/12 and Paul playing the 325/Miami at the same time. "upside down".
And George?

If you check out some live Beatles videos from you Tube, you'll see and hear George using the RIC 12 string on CBML and then if you compare it to the released song, you'll not only hear it when he was playing the chords, but you'll also hear it on the solo. I hear two different solos myself on the released version. One played with the RIC 12 and one played with something else....a 6 string guitar of some sort and probably one of the Gretsches.
