Have I got an amp for you! (er, him!) I use this Behringer 450 watt setup and the sound is unbelievable, though not as unbelievable as the price! Amp is $(Cdn)400.00 and both cabinets are another $600. Huge power and crystal-clear tone.
Behringer's whole raison-d'etre is to make copies of the top-selling musical gear, cut out unecessarily expensive materials and then sell them for about a quarter of the price of the original. I also use a Behringer Bass V-Amp (clone of a Line6 POD) that sells for $160 and sounds better than the original (which costs > $400)
