Finally, a replacement for my 4003 BB

Post by delberthot »

After selling my beloved 4003BB due to it not being as comfortable as I hoped it would be, here is its replacement.

Its an active (ooh surely not) 6 string fitted with TI flats with a fantastic sound reminicent of the Chromes I had on the 4003BB and the perfect bass for me.

I've had about 6 basses between selling the 4003BB and getting this to find the right one.

I took a chance and bought it online - the retail was £299 but I got it for £129 ( around 10% of the cost of a new Rick) which means I had lots of cash left for toys - new rack, tuner and compressor and so on.

Ibanez? It looks like one. Also, is that scalloped on the top/rear of the body? I once had a Dean 4 string bass with that.

Okay, I never tried that 6 string bass but, you found your 4003 neck uncomfortable to play, but that bass is comfortable to you? Image
