Ampeg question

Post by thumper »

i've been using an behringer 300 watt head and two home made 1-15 enclosures, but i found an ampeg b2r head with an ampeg svt 4-10 enclosure for $600 both very clean, no dust build up on the amp fan and a couple of small nicks on the cab. what do you think??

Good price. What does it sound like? If it sounds good, or better than the Behringer, then go for it!
What d'ya mean... the bass is TOO loud!

Another vote here for the Ampeg.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I use an Ampeg B2-RE (the successor of the R) with a Fender 2x15 Bassman Box as my second and meanwhile main amp for the gigs. The last time, when playing for friends in a open air situation, we only had a pretty weak PA for the vocals. Comments where, that the bass was as present as if it was on the PA.

So, take the Ampeg, it's really worth it's money. It really sounds great in live and rehearsal situations.

I have an Ampeg BSE410HLF cabinet that is awsome sounding.

Go for the Ampeg!

My Ric sounds better through my B100r than any other como amp I have tried. I imagine it would sound awesome as well through a head/cab set up
