Lefty Alembic
If any lefties in the house are looking for an Alembic, I ran across one yesterday at a music store, it's tagged at $1999, it has THE thinnest neck I have ever played! It's strung righty, but it's definitely a lefty.

No worries Will. Alembics are generally only know to those suffering from a serious case of bassatosis. It causes one to think that if they spend enough money, they will be able to play and sound like Stanley Clarke. Hasn't worked for me so far. I've bought three and I still play like I have no thumbs.
Beautiful custom guitars built in sunny California by an ex-NASA engineer/hippy genius. The big guns (Series II) can cost $20,000 to $30,000, plus shipping and a case. They are a different animal. Unlike any other bass I've played. Unbelievable tone variation and quality. Problem is they are so sensitive, heavy and expensive, makes one hesitant to take them out of the house. If you are trying to play, sing, run the lights & P.A. while attempting to adjust your bass, forgetaboutit!
Stanley Clarke has been flying one since the 70's.
