Happy Birthday Sheena!! Belated, but only because I was on vacation and only arrived home yesterday afternoon and this is my first chance to revisit this Ric forum.
That said, here's a little story for you. Yesterday at noon I was standing on the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. Kind of a religious experience for me. I was only 15 then and therefore "not allowed to go" (but an older brother of one of my bandmates did)... I was always jealous but no big deal as time passed.
So, I'm standing on this hallowed ground, surveying the HUGE expanse, and wondering what it was like. The field is a natural amphitheatre (stage area at the bottom) and it really must've been something to have 250,000+ people crammed in there. Kind of made me realize I was lucky to *not* go in a lot of ways...
Just saying - well, I said a prayer for rockers everywhere. Because, to me, *everybody* is a star, no matter if they play at home or on huge stages across the world, we've all got something to give in whatever ways we're able. There's a lot to give thanks for, that's for sure.
So take care of Mousie and teach her well. I know you're doing that. I was 28 when my daughter was born - she'll soon turn 24. I'm glad she's picked up on some of my old "hippie sensibilities" so far but there's still much for all of us to learn...
So, peace and love to you and your family. Hope you had a good birthday and that you'll have many more! And keep rockin'!!!
