Visitor Count

Post by wmthor »

I predict that this forum will reach 1,000,000 visitors by next Friday @ 1pm CDT. Certainly a milestone for Peter's efforts.

Thanks Richard. It is always difficult to really know what these counters mean. One thing is for sure, when it gets to 1,000,000, I am going to wonder who the other 50,000 visits are besides mine!

How does the counter work? Is it individual hits....does it count when you refresh?
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Tony, I clicked refresh about three times, and the counter moved up, immediately. Anyone want to click refresh another 453 times or so?

I clicked "refresh" and it added 4 visitors. Not bad, eh? Image

It depends on what you refresh. The counter is set on the menu page so that it should count once as you enter the Forum. If you keep entering the forum by refreshing it is recorded as additional visits. Sometimes during peak times others are entering the forum after you did and so if you wait only a few seconds and then refresh it will have already recorded others who have arrived.

I'm doing my share in increasing the count by having it my home page in my browsers.

This forum certainly clicked with fans of popular-guitar-counter-culture.

(Ricks are truly indie and counter-culture!)

Nice play on words, Jerry! (This thread deals indeed with a "counter culture" ...)
