We dropped Aitch off at his hotel last night, as his flight was to leave Duluth early this morning....we were sad to have to say goodbye!

Here's a pic of our Saturday night jam session: Melibee, Billy D., and Aitch B.!

Is that an empty beer crate behind Aitch?
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Oh, there are a couple of crates that size full of empty beer bottles, LOL! Image

We made sure that Aitch was well taken care of while he was here....I think Marc and I each gained at least 5 pounds! Image

Great shot Melissa,

Did you get to record anything with his nibs whilst he was there?

Actually, we were able to collaborate on a new song while he was here.... Aitch wrote the music for the verses and chorus, I came up with the chords for the bridge, and we wrote words for the verses and chorus together.... We were able to record Aitch's guitar part before he left, and Billy D. and I will add our Ric 12-string, keyboard, bass, and vocal parts within the next couple of weeks as we have time.... I still have to write words for the bridge and verse 3, LOL!

I will post our song when we get it all done! I am thankful we were able to muddle through getting Aitch's guitar recorded, despite technical difficulties and my own technological incompetence! Image

Can you have a jam session with a keyboard and two Rics ? I've never tried. Sounds fun - cool blueburst.

Steve, I think you can have a jam session any time you have more than one instrument and more than one person playing.... for the record, there were many, many more Rics present that did not make it into the picture! BTW, the Blueburst is my 481 that was refinned by Paul.

Oh, I thought that was a bass. I imagine there were many Rics waiting in the wings. So many Rics, so little time ! So, does Howard have one of those cool Australian accents, and does he utter all sorts of unfamiliar expressions ? I'd like to learn at least one of them. PS - I think Ric 12's sound great through solid state amps ... they're cleaner !

Aitch does indeed have a great Aussie accent, and it was a lot of fun having him around! We spent a lot of time laughing, eating and drinking too much, and playing guitar (can never do too much of that!), and staying up too late! He was fun company, and we hope he comes back soon!

Sigh.... It sure is hard to get back to normal, LOL!

Melissa,

Thanks to Aitch, life has changed as you know it. It will never be normal again. LOL

Ain't that the truth, Brian! Image

He is more than welcome to visit again, anytime, for as long as he wants to stay! Image

Howard has arrived in St. Louis. He will be attending the baseball game tomorrow night with me and based on what Brian has said about how life changes when Howard visits, the Cardinals have added extra security security.

Sounds like a good time Dr. Bob! You can teach Aitch all about blowing a big divisonal lead with one week left in the season. Image
