Any 2007 hints?

Post by joebassman »

Any idea of what might be new in the Rickenbacker bass department for 07? Or is it still way too early for this question?

Too early for any official news, as they keep the color of the year pretty hush hush until the unveiling about NAMM show time (mid-late January).

WAY too early to start the "annual speculation thread". I can barely stand it in December!

I predict Ric will make basses in 2007 ... and I will go out on a limb and predict they will make guitars also ...

I'm thinking BronzeGlo™ will be the CoY.

Either that or SnotGlo™.
Listen to that sustain!

I predict that my new 4003 will take care of my Ric budget for a while...

Jeff, Wouldn't that be the same as Montezuma Brown?

It probably won't be some kind of blue or brown. Green perhaps? Orange and yellow have never made a formal appearance in the RIC spectrum. I like the Mark Hudson purple bursts. A true purple would be cool.

A 4005 won't be reissued.

I think that is a given Erik. I don't think you will see any new models or reissues out of RIC for a while. Most of the folks here always look forward to the COY choice and the speculation that will take place long before the COY is announced.
