Did Anyone Get To See This?

Post by ben_brown »

I was checking on ebay the other night for RIC basses as I do religiously every day and I come across not one but TWO good deals with a BIN price! I had been waiting for an opportunity like this for a while and when it finally happened I had to make a choice! I looked at them both with 2 windows open side by side for about 10 minute...refreshing each one over and over thinking someone is going to buy these up quick! They couldn't have been listed for more than an hour. I hit the buy it now button quickly and completed the transaction then refreshed the other window. Some one else just bought the other one too! I think I made the right decision.

The late '73 is a bit rough for that price. The 4000 has had considerable work done. Notice the binding and fingerboard. They are probably both decent basses but a bit over-priced IMHO.

Stand by for a full report on the 4000 within the next week or so. We will soon see if it is original or not.
