That's still kind of high. It is (purported to be) in excellent shape, however & has rare features.
Black plexi TRC's are rare for any model.
Asking for more pics might be prudent. I don't know if that's a common practice for that selling arena.
Someone here must know.

hey kevin...yeah I asked for more pics no reply yet and he said that he would take 1600$Can.

John...1800$Can=1566$US that's just a rough calculation though...I'm only estimating the exchange rate.

So $1600 would be more in the $1300 US neighborhood I suppose. Still kinda high, but if he won't ship it's irrelevant.
The main thing with getting things across the border is having the right paperwork done before hand.
They won't tell you what you need unless you ask the right question, & you can't ask the right question unless you already know the freakin' answer! (rant over)

I check ebay several times a day (the wife thinks I'm addicted), so I'll keep you posted.
The AzureGlo one in Ontario is still reasonable.

Currently $1260 Cdn/$1130 US

Damn shut down again! kevin what does the border have to do with anything? I thought the bass was in vancouver? If it is indeed in Vancouver maybe there's a forum member nearby that could get it for me if I gave them the money and then they could ship it to me? I wouldn't usually be this desperate but I need a gig worthy 4001 pronto cause I'm starting a band and I need good gear so we can jam and start writing songs.

I just mentioned the border since it seems options are becoming fewer & there's not much for sale here in Canada.
The border crossing costs more money & takes more time.

yeah it sucks that us Canucks don't have a huge market for Ricks like the US does...I think I'm going to break down and try and get that azureglo...the color will probably grow on me with time and plus it's the sound that matters most right?

The sound & the feel! It's an uncommon color, too.

Look at it this way, you'll have some good trading capital with that AZ when one you like better becomes available.
AZ is a very popular finish among forum members & collectors.
It'll be easier to trade up with a nice bass & a little cash than trying to swing a big payment in a hurry (as such things always seem to be).
You usually have to act quick with good deals or you'll lose out.

Maybe you'll like the color once you see it in person. I know you'll love the feel of it!

yeah you make some good points kevin...I am going to try and get it...I just hope my run of bad luck concerning ricks is over and I can win the auction...I'm prepared to go pretty high should a bidding war ensue so I'm quite sure I can get it...I'm going to get someone to bid on my behalf because I don't think I can get a paypal and eBay account up and running before the auction closes.

Let me know if you need help with the process. I don't have enough credit left at the moment to buy it myself, but we could work something out if need be.

So far 1040 people have looked at that auction, but only two bids. It may go high in the last moments, or it may just play out smoothly.

Good luck!

well looks like I'm gonna miss out on that azurglo...I was gonna get my uncle to bid on it for me but turns out he doesn't have a paypal account so I guess my only other options are to get that 4003s that's one there right now or maybe I can get Jim's bass...I'll have to think about it for a while. Man do I ever have bad luck
