Honey Don't

Post by admin »

While I am sure I have managed to violate the majority of the very good recording tips posted by Tony, "Rampant Recording Techniques" has certainly given me the motivation to record a couple of songs with my jamming buddies. So here is one of them, for better of worse.

Just so you can identify the bloopers, I am responsible for the vocal and lead guitar.

Nice! Almost Carl Perkins (that's a compliment).

Looks like the ladies love Peter.

Great recording! You'll have to get in on the virtual band, Peter.

Not rocking enough maybe Sheena. I do appreciate the comments from everyone.

It was fun to do, nonetheless.

My goals for this song included a voice, for better of worse, that was clearly audible with each word understood and a balanced mix of supporting instruments.

I had a listen Peter & loved it. What is really nice about it is that everything is clear, clean & well placed. A very nice recording indeed.....
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Well done! As you said, a well balanced mix, & that's not as easy as it might seem.

Peter --- I enjoyed your rendition of Honey Don't. Sounds like you have good recording techniques. Most important question is, what Ric instruments did you use for the recording ??
