Yeah, I was in on that.

My apologies to all.

I just questioned was what to expect when the bass was delivered. Vintage case? Certificate of authenticity, ect...

I didnt mean to come off sounding greedy or needy in anyway,, but hey,, I just bought a new RIC Anniverary 4003 sight unseen, you know?? I just was asking a question.

But then,, as it often happens,, the reply from John wasnt received very well by the masses, and unfortunatley it turned kind of ugly. I believe in the end John even stated that he regretted offering the limited edition in the first place. Image

Scott my good man, I do not believe any apology is required. I only wish I produced a product that folks were as enthusiastic about as all the savages that dwell here.

I admire JH's candor and abilities, and support his freedom to do and say as he sees fit, but I think the described incident was due to his humanity. On a good day he must be a busy man. The 75th project probably doubled the work load. The fact that we have the luxury of time to discuss the RIC universe in detail may leave him scratching his head in wonderment.

I see both sides sharing a passion for Rickenbacker which may lead to passionate debate. At the end of the day there should be no hard feelings as this is a symbiotic relationship.

I too was part to blame with the COA end of the discussion, and apologized on this forum a number of times.

Fran, sorry to hear about the Yankees, BUT, being a METS fan.....and being I was at Game 5 in 2000, well, I'm not TOO sorry... Image .....although, I'd really like to see another subway series, ONLY this time, with the CORRECT outcome....evil laugh...

Whadda takin bout? Image I was born in Brooklyn--and raised on Long Island....and somehow ended up here in Florida a few years back. Man, I sure do miss that Arthur Avenue pizza!

Now, I'm only about 20 minutes away from the Mets spring training camp. Hmmm, I wonder how that happened? Image

Sorry guys, talk about thread drift....we now return to your regularly scheduled thread....

Always you Yankee fans and the championship thing... Image

I seriously didn't want to root against the Yankees this year, with the chance at a S.S and all... but after Steinbrenner ran his mouth about the Mets, I want them to lose for his sake alone!

I secretly think that thr reason why the Mets are so good now is because they're built along the lines of the beginning Yankee dynasty... clutch players who come together as a team, and a stud supporting cast that you can plug in at any time... those late 90's Yank teams, hate to admit it, were fun to watch, before they became a series of bloated contracts and ego trips.

Whoa, holy off topic! Image

Jeez, look what I started! Good point ShinyNew. We're starting too see the beginnings of a bloated rot setting in. And I'm a Yankee fan since '64! Or the more simple truth, A-Rod sucks and has to go. The fact that an underachiever like that survives there, at an astronomical fee, can't do much for the morale of the rest of the boys. The all time clutch choker...

I just can't believe that today, the Yanks have a $25 million-dollar #8 hitter...

Fran, I'm a Tiger fan and all, but I'm starting to feel like Yamamoto(?) after Pearl Harbor. I'm thinking all the Tigers have done is wake a sleeping giant. Please ask them to be gentle.

When can I expect my 75th? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.?

Thanks Kris, I'm hoping Fran can build me one in case I can't find a real one. Although to have a Fender guy build a Rickenbacker might cost more than a real one.

OOOPS!!!! Did I say that out loud?
