That was initially my bass, where I swapped the hardware with the 4004Cii from Mark Henson UK.
The bass is virtually immaculate! At least I sold it to that guy in this condition... Neck is a baseball bat though!

Pete could be right about that one particular bass since it was his, but as a rule I find the 4004's to have very flat back of the neck profiles. They just happen to be a little wide which causes a condition known as adafifthtomyrickitis, for which there is no cure.

I like that disease! But I had no chance of some infection yet. I still have the 4004Cii (with Walnut wings on the headstock) from Mark Henson waiting to be Rathified, if I have the chance to bring it to him.

I just got the 05 Blue(green)Boy Laredo from Tom Gallo yesterday, it's got a very nice thin neck (front to back). Of course the wide neck (sideways) is going to be utilized for five strings, and the green tinged paint will be replaced by bright white with black hardware. The walnut headwings will be left exposed after the refin, I pulled a tuner just to make sure they were there.
