Subtract one off the the total available. The owner of my favourite dealer is adding one set of the anniversary models to his hoard... er, collection.

Hi Bob, I probably do not belong on any list with the word dignitaries in it, but I did manage to nail down an order for a 4003DCM.

I feel fortunate to have secured an order, but incidents like those of Jocelyn will keep me wondering until the bass is in strapped over my shoulder.
I'm just happy to be here.

Take one off the list, add one on.

Jocelyn, sorry to hear someone got greedy.

J you are now an official dignitary. Congratulations, and I hear what your saying about that bass over your shoulder.

No, I'm still on the list - unless the store owner decides that one set isn't enough for him (Perhaps he's found the secret to eternal life). What I meant was that one of the 75 wont even make it to the hands of a player.

The store owner and manager had no knowledge of the anniversary edition until I drilled it into the manager. The owner then decided that one set would be for his collection and any others they could order could be sold (at list).

I went in the day that orders were taken and put down my deposit for the 4003. While there, another customer called regarding the 4003. When informed that it was already spoken for, he opted for the 360. It seems, from what I've read here, that the 4003 is the hot ticket of the group.

Off topic and a bit off the wall, but looking at the list of names I thought that if I ever wanted a stage name I could do no better than Tony Cabibi. I bet I could get about 25% more work with that name, it just sounds like it belongs to a very good, cool bass player....

Boy Bob, you're WAY off, but THANK YOU!

I've been called MANY things in my day, but a "very good, cool bass player" wasn't one of them until now, albeit you're way off!

First of all, that name has caused much confusion and angst. I'm CONSTANTLY asked if I'm of Middle Eastern decent, Arabic actually....I even managed to get thrown out of Spanish class in HS back in 1978 when my teacher asked me "Cabibi.....Cabibi, are you Arabic?" and my reply was "Miranda.......Miranda, are you a Hot Tamale"?

I usually have to ask if my first name being ANTHONY gives them a clue as to my heritage.

As far as the "cool bass player" part, I play in a church, and sometimes get a nod to play in BIGGER churches. Nuff said? Don't get me wrong, I have a blast and I really enjoy it, but I envy you guys that can get rowdy and play in places with scantily clad women. Image Image

I won't even address the "very good" part, but thanks! Image

Hey, if you feel my moniker can help you get some more gigs, feel free!

Bob, you made my day, THANKS! Image

Jocelyn, yes the 4003 seems to be the hot item. Only 75 basses, but 225 guitars split with 3 models. Ric basses seem to always sell for more money and sell quicker than guitars of the same price.

Tony, LOL, I WISH...!

I used to have hair , no waist and play in a cool rock band, but that was about 30 years ago. I now mostly play jazz and fusion stuff. The 'crowds' are often made up, on a good day, of middle aged balding men going 'mmmm, nice'.

Now when I change my name, just watch this space...!

The members of my band were making friendly wagers last Saturday whether or not a particularly fine specimen was gong to have a wardrobe malfunction! I have no idea how those few threads held together with all the jiggling going on! There, does that help? Image

LOL!

Bob, I hear you! I had hair once too! I think my kids stole it. Jazz & fusion stuff-way to go, I was just never able to get into that un-resolved stuff. Jazz is a direction I'm just starting to embark on. Better late than never.

Kevin, THERE YOU GO! YES, it does! Thank you!

Bob & Kevin,

I get Blue Haired Ladies, squealing hearing aids, smelly Depends and oxygen masks! Hmmm, sounds like a song! LoL! But that's only at one service, the other one ROCKS and it's a lot of fun. Image

To get somewhat back on thread, I BET when I get my 75th, those blue hairs will think I'm the cats meow! LOL! Image
