Would Rickenbacker do a righty 4001v63 custom to include the nameplate upside down-but with the letters rightside? Sort of like a PMC model but for a righty. With the head "knot" on the headstock upside down.

I don't think so. Mainly because they do not have a custom shop. Unless this is one of their new ideas that will be premiered at NAMM, although I doubt it.

I have to ask....has anyone ever tried to reproduce Paul's psychedelic paint job circa Magical Mystery Tour on a Rickenbacker 4001?? I have seen a reissue of George Harrison's Strat with with its wild paint scheme and it looked pretty cool. It looks as though Paul may have used aerosol paint as well as just letting paint drip down in some places.
