I know, they could be horrible, but every once in a while, they had some great deals.
I just went onto a LIVE CHAT on the GC web site, and spoke to someone who told me that they PULLED all their auctions with Instrument Exchange.
If you do a search on IE, NOT ONE RIC shows up.

I noticed they vaporized back in late August actually. I lucked out because I got my Yamaha BB1200 Macca bass through the one in Maryland back in July, and it was a great deal at 4 bills, quick and painless as transactions go too. They even threw in a brand new Yammy SKB case to ship it in. I even stopped getting the jewelry offers from IE too!
Probably because they now sell online under the Guitar Center banner - go to www.guitarcenter.com and you will find the Ricks. They used to only have online info on where the stores were.

I went into a store this weekend and they had two identical white 4001's on the wall. One was listed as a 4005 for $5000 and other was listed as a 4001 for $1900. Hanging there. Side by side.
Hey Alisha, at least you have a store that HAS them in stock!
The store closest to my home has me on their computer as "looking for a 4001". These idiots call me EVERY MONTH and ask me if I'm still looking. I tell them (as I do EVERY TIME) YES.
They then tell me they will check their computers for the nationwide inventory and they will call right back. They say that "IF one is available" they can have it shipped in..
THEY NEVER CALL ME BACK...that is, until the following month and the whole process starts all over again...It's like being stuck in the movie Ground Hog Day..Sad, just very SAD!

You need to find a different store manager. I called one store and they told me "we can't search for used gear in other stores." Then I called the next local store and got a call back 5 minutes later and got a killer deal on a used pot xt pro from some GC in Arizona. Shipped out to me no problem.
I called asking about a used C-series bass and the guy found one in 5 minutes.
