Lucky Dawg is an understatement!

Only one V63. I had a mapleglo and a Fireglo for him to choose from. Can you guess which one he picked? Image

Kevin that is one fine bass. Just about the perfect looker and player I would have thought.

Jeff, what a cake!!! that is such fun. I think you got away without a copyright infringement because there was no writing on the TRC.

Thanks Bob! Yes, she did do a nice job. She matched the frosting colors, and got the proportions right. The tuner shape and locations are right. She obviously wasn't feeling comfortable about putting letters on the TRC (maybe she was afraid that the RIC police would confiscate the cake before I could blow the candles out!)

And another thing I noticed (this is a non-musician painting a bass guitar on a cake, mind you)... unlike about 5% of the Ricks you see on ebay she had the good sense to wind all four of the "strings" around the tuner posts in the correct direction!

So Jeff, since it was just a couple months ago, does the cake have the older chunky neck or the new thinner profile?
Does thinner profile = fatfree?

Well Kevin, it was only a couple months ago...but the cake was built based on 1994 specs. It was slimmer than a cake based on a 2003 model!

Jeff, that is the COOLEST cake!!! My compliments to your sister in law. If that was my cake, no one would get a piece. I'd tell them to go get yer own cake! Well, I'd let them have the cake, they just couldn't eat the top.

Jeff T - you have email.

Happy birthday to both - it's been 14.5 years since I turned 40! Enjoy those intervening years to the max!
