I gave up on them a long time ago.

I was looking for a sweet Autumn Glo 4001, the year wasn't important, but I wanted one in VG to Excellent condition. I was hoping I'd get lucky.

But, now with the 75th Anniversary guitars starting to ship, I better keep the old credit card close to the vest.

I also have to start saving my pennies for a project I have in mind for Paul.

So many guitars, so little money!

Are you talking about the GC up in Lynwood? I avoid that place like the plague. The in Southcenter isn't even better.
Of all the local GC's the one by Lake Union is the best to get deals. I go there for all my basic recording needs and manage to walk away with deals since I make them match with other local places.

The one in Lynnwood is closest to me but I made the treck to Kirkland because I heard they had a better pro audio dept. Quite a few vintage vox amps. Good to know about Lake Union! Thanks Edgar!

I took the 4004LK into the local GC in El Cerrito to try out chorus pedals. The manager came up to me and said "nice bass, what is it ?"

Gareth, what chorus did you decide on?

I got the Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus. It's got effects level, a low filter, the usual rate and depth, and both mono and stereo outputs. It's more than enough just to color a few passages here and there. I've used Boss on and off for years now, and they seem really reliable and robust.

Thanks - I tried a EH Small Clone, bought the Boss CEB-3, a Digitech XBC, and an Ibanez CF7. After a few days with them, I kept the Ibanez as it was the nicest sounding. Didn't want to spend more.
