What would black pickguards look like

Post by will_nesbitt »

on a fireglo 620/12? I'm just wondering if anyone has done this, and if so, what does it look like? if not on a 620, on any other fireglo Ric.

You'd have to change the TRC as well to match! I think it would look quite cool.

I believe Bob Belloff has a Fireglo 620 with black binding, guards, and nameplate. If I remember correctly, it has Toasters and chrome hardware. Maybe he will post a photo of it here.

Near the end of the RIC 75th. Anniv. slideshow, there is a photo of Paul Kantner's Ricks. There is a Fireglo 360/12 with black guards and TRC.

Yes, that is the guitar with the reflective racing stripe that is usually (always?) tuned to drop-down-D and capo'd at the fifth.
I thought I had sent a link to a bunch of photos I have of it some time back but maybe I didn't.
For those who don't want to wade through the slideshow to see it (though it is a GREAT slideshow) I will try and (re-)send the link this evening.

Thanks for posting that.

It looks as though it's got a flourescant (I spelled that wrong, I know) red light going through the guitar.
