Michael

I always felt that this single sounded like it was made with the Eurovision song contest in mind

But the sound fitted to the 70s - also it didn't have to do much with the Searchers sound we love. But they struggled hard for success and tried everything they were allowed to.

Sing singer sing don't catch many votes from the Norwegian jury, I'm afraid. I liked the B much better. I think it's one of their best RCA tracks. It has a strange fading end, though, hasn't it? As if the song continues for awhile, without letting us hear it? (As I remember it, I may be wrong).
Is it ghost musicians on these songs too?

Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

Michael's information that Sing singer sing reached no 1 in the Bangkok charts, sounds "somehow obscure" to Michael himself. As it does to me! Anybody out there (with a Thai connection?) who may offer som light to this obscurity?

Frank once told me that this was a chart based on radio plays.

hey,
like this one, really! Nice lyric (although to me it sounds as if it was written by a 60-years-old). Funny tune. Love the rattle sound. Anyway, it's my daughter's personal favorite, and without knowing a word in English, she somehow manages to sing along!

Nice to have you on board Sheena, Sing Singer Sing was written by a 60 year old John McNally although he was only 30 at the time!!!.
