Steve, you were right about the Zappa Plays Zappa tour. I saw the show last night. I highly recommend it to anybody who likes Zappa's music. That band is so tight, with 3 original Zappa band members (Terry Bozzio, Steve Vai & Napolean Bonaparte), and some great young talent (Pete Griffin on bass was fantastic). I really preferred Dweezil's guitar playing to Vai's.
Never saw Frank, but Dweezil made him proud on this tour!

Greg, I think that is Napoleon Murphy Brock instead of Napoleon Bonaparte- I think that guy was in some French band.
I have not seen any of the kids, but I did see Frank a few times and really enjoyed the musicianship and how tight the music was, yet the atmosphere was somewhat loose. It was fun to see the occasions when FZ wanted to get more out of the band and having them play songs in different ways.

Best.. Concert.. Ever!
Only 800 people went out of a 2000 person capacity, so it wasn't too crowded.
Geoff Tate sang his arse off. He blew off some of the high notes, but everything he went for he did amazing. I thought he'd do pretty awful at the beginning of the show due to warm up time, but he was great. Pam Moore was amazing. She covered for Chris DeGarmo not being there on some songs, but she sings hard when it just her. Eddie Jackson looked bored out of his mind. Mike Stone was as high as a kite. Michael Wilton.. well I was more stage left than right, so I didn't pay much attention to him.
It was a great piece of theater. People getting shot on stage, throwing fake money into the crowd (I caught one), actors, little films. Plus me being front row center made it way more fun. It was a GA show and I was in the front of the line to get in, so I made it to the front of the stage. My dad stayed back by the soundboard to tape the show.
