Maybe there is some mistake in the calculation? It's $126.24 to ship to my zip code.

I guess on ebay you can add "Service charge" to the shipping cost. There is a reserve on it as well. I hope he doesn't have a $750 reserve.

Well, in a nutshell, I have type 2 diabetes. I have been feeling ****** for quite a while and finally got an appt for the Dr. for digestive problems. It turns out I need a double dose of Prilosec.

A few days before that appt, I got extremely thirsty, and had "cotton mouth" (for those who can relate to that term!). He tested my blood sugar and it was 308. He put me on a half dose of Glipizide, and with the change in diet, I have lost 10 pounds, and only once have I had a reading above 200. This all happened a week ago Monday.

I have inundated myself with information. Basically, this is a modified South Beach diet. Which means it is also like Atkins and the Zone. High protein, low carbs. THe difference is no sugar.

I am still getting a handle on the lifestyle change, but hey, with diet and exercise, the complications are a long way off.

Sorry to hear that, but it looks like you are on the right track.

"a modified South Beach diet"

I guess that means "NO BABES".

Charley, Type 2 is controllable if you follow what they say and if not the results are not desirable, so more power to you! You'll get a handle on it and get that blood sugar count down where it belongs. Congrats on the strong start. Welcome back.

Get Control!

See a dietician and not some fad guru. ADA recommendations have been changing so it pays to have a CDE (certified diabetes educator) on your healthcare team, along with an endocrinologist, dermatologist and podiatrist.

Get below 6.5% HgA1C to minimize complications. Its tough-but it beat the alternative!
Buy it before someone else does
