Did anyone catch the teeange kid in the Leftover Crack t-shirt pumping his fist along to "Good Day Sunshine"? That's so punk. I think he just got kicked out of his band.

I have to admit it looked like Back in the US Part II. As much as I like the concert footage I equally get tired of the crowd shots. They could have just used out takes form Back in the US and we would have never known the difference. They always find that crazy family from wherever to follow around. I loved the family from KY. "We're in town to see Paul McCartney". The front desk clerk was so indifferent. I swore I saw the clerk's lips mouth, "how nice...credit card please." I just get tired of the whole McCartney can save the world crowd." At least they didn't make us sit through monkey's banging trash cans this time. Just show the tour in the right light. A bunch of great songs that entertained some people for a few hours. That's it. It's nothing more and nothing less. Why can't that be good enough?

The crowd shots are extremely annoying. Stop worshiping this guy. He was a great musician, but geesh, it's like a religious experience for these fine folk.

Yes, music is a gift from the heaven's, but during "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window", did we really need to see a couple kiss?

More Paul, less Joe Smith.

I think he is still a great musician, but the altar built for Paul is just too much. I really loved Rockshow. It was just the concert with a few crowd shots. Straightforward and it let the music and the band speak for itself.

It was a nice recap for someone who was there. His show at MSG last Oct was like a religious experience for me. I didn't mind the crowd shots, however thats' most likely because I was looking my father and myself in the stands,

Your right Brian. I thought I stuck "Back in the US" in my DVD player.
I was thinking of canceling my order from Amazon until I saw an interesting shot towards the end of the movie when Paul was arriving in his Lexus SUV. I could have sworn some shots where taken at the Wachovia Center in Philly. My buddy and I where standing in the small crowd of people when McCartney came rolling in with a police escort before the show. I remember he had his cell phone in his hands when he stopped to wave, he was just a few feet away before going in the back entrance. I'm pretty sure we may have been in that footage. For me that would be cool, and worth the price of the DVD. Guess I'll have to buy it and and use the pause button over and over again. Image

Who perpetuates this Lord McCartney myth though? Not Paulie if you ask him. He's just a "regular fella"...

BUT...at the same time....he's trying to copyright his own NAME, he's bristles at a producers suggestion that some of his lame *** songs might be *****, he has moments when he's in awe of the fact that he's THE Paul McCartney, he's gone out of his way to be incredibly mean spirited to former Beatles associates and friends whenever the almighty pound is on the line, he reverses songwriting credits on CD's, when NO ONE cares, etc, etc...

Read an old Playboy interview with him the other day where he talks (as he always does) about how the Beatles money is very "clean" money and how he doesn't believe being poor or, rather, trying to INCREASE his own wealth as much as possible in any way harms those without. He then goes on to talk about how the system, at the time (early '80's, Thatcher economy) seemed to him to be broken and how one of his cousins went to one of Thatcher's work programs to try and survive the poor economy and it didn't sound all that helpful to Paulie. Again, he's not an economist and not responsible for the problems of the world, but this is an insight into this man's mind and what he thinks of his own place in the world and his responsibility (to his own family! of all things)

So, who is perpetuating the 7,000th "Hey Jude croak-along can save the world" myth in these slice and dice concert vids....?

LOL...you wrote..."trying to increase his own wealth as much as possible..."
That's what business is all about...making money. I'm tired of "Socialist Victocrats" whining about how much other people make while in reality not giving a damn about the poor. (Secret offshore accounts rather than paying their fair share of taxes...) Ha!
Then go on to say that their favorite band is an obscure "Johnny and the Sh*tstains" anarchist punk band that really doesn't care about anything!
Don't wait for someone to save you, save yourself!

Richard - appreciate it and I'm willing to agree to disagree. You need not say something nice about me.

Artie - not sure what you're getting at. Yes I wrote that, in a CONTEXT (DUH)...Big Macca was whining about the state of the economy here in the UK and contrasting it with his own situation. Surely an absurdity, I agree.

I think we all know what "business is all about" but thanks for the refresher. As for "Socialist Victocrats" as it refers to Paul McCartney, you've lost me there son, and the rest of your post I'll have to chalk up accordingly.

Don't get me wrong. I love McCartney. I just don't need to be convinced to love him. I have a hard time with all the accolades about how his music transcends this and that, and then they play Flaming Pie. C'mon People!
