Noob question 4003 and Hum

Noob question 4003 and Hum
Does a 4003 suffer from single coil hum problems like (for example) a Fender Jazz does? I did a search of the forum and didn't find any mention of it.
No it shouldn't hum at all unless there's something wrong with the wiring. Maybe a loose ground.

It will also hum if you are too close to the amp.

Jacob - I have both an SVT 3 Pro and a 2 Pro. Think about getting an 3 Pro used off eBay - you can find the early 90's model (blue SVT II Pro writing) for around $500. Not quite the punch factor of the 300W of tubes, but with a 4 ohm cab it puts out 450W and has the same tube front end and driver section, and if you boost the bottom 3 sliders of the graphic eq. you get pretty close to the low end.
