Mitch, congratulations on your new Tele. Brain, your 62 RI looks nice too. Here's my CIJ 62 Tele out getting some sun. Pictured with it is a AmSe Strat.

The Tele has a Callaham bridge and CS Nocaster pups. As far as strings go, I'm using Pyramid's extra light nickel roundwounds (.009 to.042). I use the same strings on my Strat (it has Lace Holy Grail pups). Both sound sweet when played through either a SF Deluxe Reverb or Traynor YCV20WR.

Mitch,

You are welcome.

RC That's a beautiful Tele. The Strat looks to be a keeper too. I have a 62 RI Foto Flame Strat as well. I like the Japanese re-issues. My Tele and my collection of Strats all get played a lot.

I bought an amp on Ebay to go with my Tele. It's not a Tweed Champ, just a solid state Bronco but it looks so cool.

Replaced the pickguard (from white to black) and I think it looks a lot better. Also photographed outdoors because thought the color would be more accurate in natural light (though I didn't get home until 4:30pm today).
And now you can all see I haven't picked up my leaves yet:

Also found out a little more about it.
Apparently it is what is called a FSR (factory special run). And, I guess, it was a special run for GC only.

Mark: It is easy to fall for that Tele. A good looker to be sure.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Another of Peters famous puns, "fall for that Tele" Good one Peter. That is a nice Tele Mark. The black guard looks great.

Very nice, Mark and Mitch. Not a Tele but I picked up this new AM Strat earlier this week. I'm a bit of a sucker for Olympic White with a maple neck......

That'd look cool with a tortoise pickguard, Aitch. Unless you're after the Hendrix at Woodstock look, which it nails as is.
