I sent him an email asking if it had the zero fret, and he ended up dropping the price to $1599.

I think this version of Paul's bass did not have the zero fret. I think the zero fret came to be around the time the horns were shaven. So I think this bass is accurate. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Mark Arnquist told me the zero fret came along after RIC worked on the bass in the 70's and was installed later by someone else.
