Took the 615 to practice tonight....
It is a sweeeeeeet little guitar! I used only clean settings for the songs we worked on, and it sounds very crystal-clear and pure.... I'm looking forward to trying it out with some of the crunchier settings on my Valvetronix amp tomorrow.
The white finish is absolutely perfect, with not a single ding, scratch, or blemish of any kind, and no yellowing, either.... It is beautiful, and the black trim looks really sharp, too. I've never seen a black Ac'cent vibrato before, either--it's pretty cool! I'm hoping get a chance to take a whole bunch of photos in the near future....
Yep, I think this could be the cresting wave I've been wanting!

Got to play with my new baby a little more over the weekend, and am very pleased indeed!
While the 615 sounds pretty good played on clean settings, it sounds GREAT with my Valvetronix amp set on AC30TB, slightly overdriven, with a tad of compression.... the sustain of this guitar is incredible, and it sounds soooooo cool! It's got a whole different personality than my other Rics--It's definitely a keeper!

A quick check on your profile and let's see, that makes one, two, three, oh h%ll, I lost count. Congrats.
I know this is bordering on blasphemy here but I turned 50 last month and my wife came home with a, Shhh...Gibson Les Paul Custom - ebony w/ gold plate, etc., etc. Absolute total surprise. Just thought I'd relay how the wives can be pretty darned cool, too!

Well Mel, nothing really cool but I had this silly notion that if I owned a LP then I simply must have a Marshall half stack. A couple clicks later and Craigslist produced a "like-new" MG100HDFX for about half that of new. It's the newer solid state of course so, I'm on the lookout for a tube head but it sounds pretty cool.
I'd been "neglecting" the Ric so I decided to restring and play it through the Marshall for a while. I had a band gig fall through (too much distance) and am relegated to my office once again. Certainly enough equipment for that venue!

Very nice....!
New gear is always fun!
Last week my husband went to a garage sale and got me a complete PA system, albeit a very small one (4 channels), for $100--and it sounds great! Really, it was a steal of a deal, as the guy included the Yamaha mixer, two 12" speakers, a small monitor, 6 cables, and a Shur microphone, and he said he would give us some other stuff for the system as well, as he found it--he's in the middle of moving; hence the sale....
I'm very pleased with it, as it gives me what I need to go solo if I want to!
