That's pretty cool. I think that's called the "Winter-White" edition! I prefer the white guard and TRC.

I love the look of a white bass with a black pickguard ... If I had done that bass I would have left the headwings exposed with only a clear coat ...

I believe that question was asked at the time, but was nixed.

What's with JH stating that RIC will not make another white guitar on his watch, or something to that effect (paraphrasing from memory). I've not heard many negative comments about a nice non-yellowed example. That and there seems to be plenty for sale to indicate they sold reasonably well in the day. I'm just one sale, but if there were a white/white 4003 available new, I would order one.

White with white for me too. Though the one pic in black trim on the rug is stunning. Let's see, white/white with a black tux on stage, and cheap dark sunglasses!

IIRC John won't do white finishes because they are a PITA to do well.

Or something to that effect.
