Gary's bridge pickup measured a little over 24M ohms. These usually run around 14k ohms. I even measured it at the terminals on the pick up to eliminate a problem with the shielded lead. Gary is now back in business.

Bad Pickup!

Good Ken! A scholar and a gentleman.

Happy Gary!

Thanks Ken, great job on the installation. She sounded superb at rehearsal. Had the drummer whining "your too loud!". YEP!!! "It's on eleven"

Thanks RickResource Forum. It is truly a joy to meet such pleasant, talented, and helpful people like Ken and his lovely wife.(Ken's a lucky guy. His wife is a looker and likes guitars!) They welcomed me into their beautiful home like family.
I'm just happy to be here.

Hey Ken, I calls em as I sees em.

It was a pleasure watching you work with such ease, confidence, care and concern.

I was dreading the idea of turning this bass over to just any old repair shop. Several local guns who looked at her sent me fleeing from their shops with their casual handling and opinions of the bass. I could not bring myself to leave her anywhere. I felt the best repair would be via RIC, but the shipping dilemma was a big issue to me.

The pickup quit several months ago, but I would have continued to play her minus the affected pup before I turned her over to the unwashed. I can't tell you how happy and relieved I was as I drove to practice with her all fixed up and ready to go.

Now, about that bass and guitar you showed me, the KJ models, can I order one of those basses?

Hmmmmm.....please? Cool instruments!
I'm just happy to be here.
