My Two "Sidemen"

Post by firstbassman »

NOTE - No RIC Content

At the Ranch last weekend, Jack Casady and G.E. Smith agreed to accompany me on a song ("Dark As A Dungeon" by Merle Travis).

I apologize for the terrible photograph. I'm trying to find out if anyone took any better shots.
(Also trying to find out if there is any good audio available. My little device did not pickup the vocal at all . . . some would say just as well.)

A lot of talent on that stage. You know, G.E. has (and loves) a Ric Frying Pan!

Noel, and of course you meant me. ;-)

No, I didn't know GE has a Frying Pan. We usually talk about Teles, Woodstock (we were both there), musicians he has played with and great old records. I'll have to ask him next time I see him.

BTW, he played a red Tele Saturday that he said was a just-announced GE Smith model.
