Do you know where that last picture is from? It appears to be Long Beach, California... The reason I ask is because my Dad met George there in 1978 along with Jackie Stewart. Maybe this is from that day! :-) As a side note, I'm actually named after Jackie Stewart, but my Dad didn't like the way that "ew" looked, so I have the "u."

And yes, George was a huge F1 fan. He liked Damon Hill, which is the reason he wasn't too fond of Schumacher, since Michael ran into Damon Hill in an incident that ultimately decided the points race that year.

I know that George was at the Melborne race in 2000, which was Jenson Button's first F1 race.

He was friends with Jackie Stewart and Ronnie Petersen who was tragically killed during a race. He dedicated "Faster" to him.

Remember from The Beatles Anthology when he Paul and Ringo drove up to Paul's studio in that sports car? The doors raided up and it appeared that the drivers seat was in the middle. Paul said to him "nice motor".
