A late vote for the Strat, Mitch. I agree with the ditching of the TV too.... eats into your playing time!

I really like Sheena's whole recommendation--with what's on TV these days, I'd unload it and keep both guitars. If forced to choose, surf green rocks...

Ok,It looks like a clean sweep for the Strat. Now let me ask you guys what you think I could get for this stang. It has a back story,it used to be the main stage guitar for Carson Vester(AKA Whitie Westlake)The original guitarist for the Austin Texas stoner rock trio Honky, the band he co founded with ex Butthole Surfer bass player J.D.Pinkus and Drummer Lance Farley.Althought they are not famous nationally they are the best trio to come out of Texas since ZZ Top.Here is an articule with some pics of some records that this guitar was featured on.

Anyway, should I do a BIN or just run an auction with a reserve.Any suggestions would appreciated

Mitch,

I've found the best way to deal with a sale is to decide what you will feel good with in a sale price--not what you'll feel like you've hit the lottery with, not what you'll feel like you got robbed.

Do a BIN or set a reserve for that price and let it ride. Don't entertain the multiple offers you'll get along the lines of "if you waive the shipping I'll buy it" or "I'll give you 'X' if you end the action now." You've got to feel good about the sale.

The 'Stang is a bit of a niche guitar, but they have a strong following. Look at sites like the Fender Discussion Page (fenderforum.com)--you might snag the guy/gal who's been waiting for this!

Good luck, Bill

I'll have some pretty Strats to show off in a couple of weeks. Image

I do like that sea foam, Mike. The right size and shape guitar for the color, IMO.

MItch, sounds like you got a pretty good price!

Beautiful Strat Mike. I've got a Jazzmaster in Seafoam, though without the matching headstock. Great color!

Strats are great guitars, no question in my mind. I've currently got a honey blonde Am Dlx V neck and CIJ '57RI in sonic blue.

I'm selling a Classic '60s in Burgundy Mist, if anyone's interested.

Photos Bill, will tip the scale. At least for me they would.

Mitch, someone purchased a beautiful guitar from you. That Strat would never have left my collection.
