If there's even the faintest chance of doing it, Alisha..... do it!! It's only a 4 or 5 hour drive.

Teignmouth is a gorgeous spot and Tony and his wife are fabulous hosts. You'll be there in summer and a pint or two sitting outside the Ship Inn would be an absolute must. Hope Tony's got a gig going - you'll love it!

You'll get on famously with Matilda, too..... she's a heap of fun! Image

Gawd! Might even have to go back there myself and join you! Image

Howard...you have an open invitation. You're welcome back any time & there's a few pints of Otter ale with your name on them!

Aahhh, Teignmouth in the summertime...I don't care where you live & there are some BEAUTIFUL places in the world, but Teignmouth is a little slice of Edwardian, nothing happens, west country, typical English sea side heaven!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Alisha, if you're going to be in England for that long you really owe it to yourself to get out of London and see the countryside (it looks like you have that covered). Devon is one of the most beautiful places on earth, IMHO.

Tony and Wendy are great, and Matilda is very affectionate. Don't miss a chance to see Tony's band, either (next time I'll see the full show, Tony!).

A bit of a caution, though: Howard mentions that it's only a 4 or 5 hour drive, but unless you've driven on the "wrong side" before I suggest that you practice in Australia first.

Alisha,
That sounds like way too much for for one person...but if anyone can...We'll want to hear all the details. I hope to get there on business sometime next Spring...wait, that would be Spring here...so Fall there, right?

Alisha, that's funny... my parents moved from San Diego to Boulder about 2.5 years ago. I am from SD myself... which part did your parents end up in?

Stuart - they ended up right by the airport (which my mom has not exactly adjusted to just yet). She's not a fan of the non-stop plane landings and take-offs
