360/12 WB/OS question

360/12 WB/OS question

Is it safe to say that for the most part, that a 360/12 WB/OS does NOT have binding on the sound hole, where a standard 360/12 always does?

Every one I've seen is binding-less...

Every 360/12 WB I've seen has the binding on the sound hole.

Every 360/12 OS I've seen does not.

Are you talking about the 24 fret ones or the 21 fret ones?

John, just the 21 fret, in the 72 to 74 time frame.

I always liked how the binding seemed to set off the soundhole. It's one of the reasons I bought a WB (that, plus the fact that I absolutely hate vintage tuners).

Oh yeah. I've never sold a Ric. They seem to just accumulate. That's my main playing out 12.

Bill, how do know your beautiful 12-string is a WB and not an OS?

I think 21 frets = OS and 24 frets = WB.

Agreed, Glenn - Bill's Azureglo WB is one of my favorite Ricks ever. Howzabout a few more pics, Bill? Image

Not meaning to steal Bill's thunder, but here are two WBs from my collection, in Ruby. A 6 and matching 12.

And Liz' lips make three (or is it four?)

Over to you, Mr. Henshell...

Paul, is the color difference really as vast as it appears in the photo?
