Is the horseshoe on the c64 same as the V 63

These early few do have the "proper" magnetized horseshoes, which surely were NOS from the 60's.

Thanks for the good laugh! The only thing that would have made it better was if you said you had some of the NOS aluminum horsehoes.

Well, in that case, if they are not NOS and yet they are still magnetized, there must have been a limited batch made new at the time then...

I think that was a joke. The old shoes are a tungsten alloy that is very brittle. The new style shoes are just for looks and are made from a fairly soft steel. You can actually bend them a bit without breaking them. DO NOT try that with vintage shoes. They will break like glass.
