75th anniversary thread?

Post by bob_atherton »

I thought there was a lengthy thread about the 75th Anniversary instruments. It was getting a little heated, but not totally out of control IMHO. Has it been pulled or moved somewhere?

How could I forget that one.
It's under the "General" section.

It has been pulled Bob.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks for the link Bob. I just reread most of the thread. WOW! I hope Brian is doing well and I'm glad John Hall has been popping in from time to time. I wonder if opinions have changed for some re: the 75th Anniversary instruments now that a couple of models have been releases and some of us are playing them?

It appears the "75th Anniversary 360DCM on ebay" thread was removed from the FOR SALE section. That one was getiing a bit heated as well.

The one I meant was about the guy who is selling his 360's on ebay. It was getting just a little ugly when I last checked in but the gloves were still on.

That one is gone, Bob A.

My opinion changed greatly, Brian. I saw and held the #1 bass in Santa Ana and was...unenthused. I had a feeling the guitars would look better though, so I bit the bullet on my 330...and i'm glad I did. I love the thing!

I had no plans to get one, then through some circuitous circumstances I ended up with one and I love the darn thing.

Hey, Biscuti. I'm holding it right now, and I'm...enthused.

OK?

Paul,

Are they all going to make it out by the end of the year?

Bob,

That thread is gone. I think the gloves had come off and then were put back on, but I believe enough had been said to warrant it getting yanked. Even if that wasn't the reason it certainly had the making of a thread that could go south at anytime.

Paul, you know what they say about opinions...

Weird, as you and I generally see eye-to-eye on finishes. Blue Boy immediatley springs to mind.

Just ribbin' you, John...it's the variety of preferences that make for, er, spirited discussions!
