Abomination? I see three Ricks. Did I miss something? Is the fence not installed correctly? What?

All these white Rics is not good for one's financial health....

Ted, I have yet to assign a nickname to my Plain Jane 330.

But I'm open to suggestions.

But that is such a harsh name for so elegant an instrument.

Andrew, those are some sharp basses! I can't get enough of the dot neck S styles... How about some history on the emerald green burst. Is that a factory original?

It's all in good fun, Ted. The BronzeGlo™ Abomination© is at least as loved as any other of my thundersticks, probably more so.

How do you think this makes me feel?
Im the fool that sold DH163!
I am having the neck slimmed down on my V63 in the New Year and I am seriously thinking of going Wints white plus striped headstock this time.
Too many basses is an oxymoron

Pete,

I've been kicking around slimming my V63 down too. Are you doing front to back, the width, or both?

I love the white, but the maple on mine is too nice.

Thanks guys. Just trying to keep the gallery happy...

Jim, it's not a factory finish. It was refinished sometime in the 70's in the UK. If you like green (I do..) then it's a great looking bass. It has a 4 piece body, which you don't see very often and the upper horn has been shaped, but, overall, a very cool example of a 60's Ric bass.

Pete, good to see you here! Don't be too hard on yourself...There was no vintage market then!
Get the V done and show us the results!

Teeder, I agree. You shouldn't really cover wood that good. The 67 S I have will stay MG for the same reason.

Good choice Andy. That S will look great when you get it done!

Wints, that will be yet another bass to die for that YOU own, not that I'm jealous or anything....
