AFG 330 on the way !

Post by joeleric26 »

Hey folks!

Joel here. I've been a long time lurker but have good reason to jump in and start posting.

I placed an order for an AFG 330 last February. The store already had it on order, I just put a hold on it. I noticed on the Ric website that the store in question had been shipped one and so I called and confirmed that it was mine on the way.

It should be on its way to me today. I'm hoping it'll arrive on Friday, but more likely on Monday it'll be in my hands.

It's not my first Ric. I had a 650S that I had to sell during a rough financial time, and have kicked myself ever since for doing so.

When I decided to pull the trigger on one this time I decided to opt for something a little more classic and after seeing the 2006 COY I knew that was it.

Nice score Joel! Post pictures when you can. I love the smoothly aged fireglo look with amber CV, but I'm not so sure about the yellowing on models with binding (although I haven't seen one in real life). So a 330 seems a great choice to me.

Congratulations! I saw a AFG 330 over at the Willie's Guitars site, and it's a looker.

Me, why I just received my AFG 4003, and it's great! The ambered binding gives a much different impression to me - less of a high contrast look than those models with the white binding, and more of a smooth, sunny red-orange-yellow look. Actually I think the inlays must have originally had a blue-ish tint because they look almost green-ish with the amber coat. I like it, personally.

When you get your 330 be sure to share some pics!

Well done, Joel! I'm sure it will be a stunner and I echo the remarks above....... pics!

When you can manage it, of course. Image
