Cool bass! But the E and the A strings are much farther apart than the A and the D strings at the bridge. So I'm out too!

I'm actually hoping that Ric does a limited re-issue of that older 4000 1960'ish design next year when the design hits 50 years old (it came out in 1957 as the 2nd long scale production bass made by anyone). I'd put my name in the hat for one, but not for 25K! Gulp.

I think that pickguard design is wicked - anyone got a template for one or know of anyone who can make them up? Would pickguarian do it, do you think?

He can do it, but i'm sure he'd need an original to make the copy from.
