Now, please tell me why he would go through all the demonstration and virtual commercial for the guitar, explaining all of the nuances and unique features of the Rick 360, and then play it so it sounds so grungy and distorted? I mean, the pickups and the jangle is why we love these.
In reading the comments, looks like my own first impression is shared by most other viewers; one posted that this guy did the same thing to a Gretsch.

Don't let that waster near the crack pipe again!
We've now got at least 2 generations of guitarists who don't have a clue about tone at all, people in the '80's were accused of using too many effects but at least they were trying to get different sounds at least.
Seems that nowadays most are just after a buzzing grinding sound like a wasp in a jar!
BTW you can get good tone with a bit of distortion &/or overdrive it's not that hard!

Hey, man, look at the source, then divide by two...
Do you get less than zero?
Then it's not worth worrying about. You go ahead and rock.
Properly.

"The mystery knob"
"The bass knob"
"becomes a sort of notch filter"
The reviewer is a knob! Maybe if he read the instructions Ric includes with the guitar. He should read them for that poor amp he's torturing as well.
Bleach! I think I'll avoid Gearwire. If they are not smart enough to research the piece they review, then their opinions can't be very useful.
