4001V63 Lefty Ric

I am about to purchase a lefty 4001V63 Fireglo bass with hard case in near mint cond. Price is $2595. Does this sound right to you or a bit high? Thanks.

Seems a bit high - what year and where are you - if outside the US then it looks like a better deal.

It might be hard to come upon another one in a lefty fireglo, though....

I'd say it's not too bad, considering it's a lefty, and it's almost mint, I'd have to guess that there were significantly fewer made, what year is she ?

Take a look down by the tailpiece and see if there's any cracking to the finish where the edge of the tailpiece meets the body.

If it's a PMC model, I've seen them go for $2500 on ebay......I'd say they aren't easy to come by; I just saw a lefty C64 sell for $2300 second-hand.

I think 2007 will see 4001V63's going for $2K mimimum.

I'd snatch it up! My ex '92 FG, which now belongs to Jim Glen, has a super neck, IMO.
