First Brian Crisman and now Sheena.... and I really liked both of them and felt they had a lot to contribute....
My Dad always used to tell me "Life's not fair" and "Don't sweat the small stuff" as his two truism's in life. He said if you keep those two in the back of your mind you will always be able to deal with the world. I know we're all huge fans of RIC products, but they kind of fall into the second category....

I guess I missed it because I don't follow the DCM threads very much (not having one on order).
I still have no clue why Brian left either.
I for one would welcome both back without any hesitation, as I'm sure most of us would. Both have been very important contributors here & seemed to be very even tempered, thus I find these events quite surprising.

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.
I too would welcome Sheena's return.
Hey Dakota, come back!

I have just been talking to Sheena, she says that she has enjoyed the forum and has met some great people here, but things haven't been perfect on occasions recently, which she feels may be her fault. She has read this thread and thanks all for the support that she has received. I have asked her to reconsider but for now she is taking some "time out".

She sent me an email saying that she felt she was getting too emotional at times.
Well, I don't know the details, but we all have times that we've gotten on someone's nerves, or someone's post has rubbed the wrong way, intended or otherwise. Hopefully there are no real hard feelings lingering over whatever was said.
We still do get along & really need this diversity to continue to grow & learn new things.
We don't always agree, but that's human nature.
Sometimes people feel the need to step back & reflect a bit.
I feel, as do many others obviously, that Sheena's as much a part of this forum as anyone & has as much right to be here as anyone.
Come back soon, Sheena, you're part of the family.

With all the wonders that e-communicating brings us, there are shortcomings. I've always felt you can't "see" what I'm trying to say in emails, web posts, etc. The written word, even with emoticons is a great tool, and an avenue to entire universes-like this site for example.
But when it comes to really communicating, things like facial expressions, gestures, breathing, etc. are all part of the message...and sadly, these are the parts that don't come across in a web post.
Hopefully she will reconsider, but in any case it's a good reminder for all of us on the limits of this wonderful medium.
Peace,
Bill
